So if you're doodling multiple things, you do have the ability to create makeshift layers, resize photos and images, and create custom cutouts. Maybe the best feature is the ability to add another image to the existing project. In terms of features, none of these little doodle programs are very feature rich. You also get a broader range of base colors, but can always blend, mix and match for whatever color you want. The large buttons at the bottom of the screen make this Mac program a lot easier to figure out than Paint, and it's much easier to switch back and forth through the features. ![]() You also won't need tutorials to figure out how to use it. It's more or less a low-rent Photoshop, and is great for younger people or anyone who likes to doodle. You can draw, paint, color, and even blend colors and add images as layers. If not, what you basically get is a large white square with some cool options in your toolbar. ![]() What you will notice when you open up MacPaint X is a very similar program to MS Paint, if you have ever seen PC's program. It is available for free and its only operating language is English. It's a full-sized computer program, not a mobile app. The MacPaint X program was developed and released by Mac Aspect and is available for the Mac, Mac OS X, and anything later than that. Though in many other ways, Mac users greatly prefer it for its added features, smaller size and better graphics. In many respects, it's almost an exact copy of the popular Paint program. Until now, that is, with the MacPaint X download. Of course, Mac is an entirely different OS, with different programs, so Mac never had its own version of Paint. Of all the different art-based programs to ever come out for computers, perhaps none have ever been quite as popular as MS Paint, for the PC. Because PC took the world by storm a little before Mac, the Mac computers were behind the curve on releasing programs like the popular MS Paint, but with downloads like MacPaint X, all Mac users can now use a similar program for free. ![]()
